Maruti Suzuki is the largest car manufacturer in India. Company offers a total of 20 car models in india. These consist of 4 Maruti Suzuki upcoming cars and 16 new Maruti Suzuki cars in India. The list of Maruti Suzuki cars comprises of 8 hatchback cars, 2 sedan cars, 2 SUV cars, 1 crossover car, 3 MUV cars.

Maruti cars are popular among budget buyers, although, the company has recently set up a new dealership network called NEXA for its premium range cars, which has its exclusive showrooms across the country. Under the Nexa Brand Company's plan is to expand the portfolio further and bring in more premium cars under Nexa.

Price Range

Maruti Suzuki always had a strong hold at domestic market. with its hatchbacks, sedan and compact SUV segments of the market with cars starting from as low as Rs. 3 Lakh to around Rs. 12 Lakh(Ex-Showroom) onwards.

Performance & Mileage

Maruti Suzuki cars are known for economical, performance and reliability. Baleno and Swift are two of outstanding performers from the brand. All the cars are highly fuel efficient alongwith cost efficient. The petrol versions of Maruti Suzuki cars are generally good at 18-23 kmpl depending on the class of car and engine, while diesel engines are even more economical and provide mileage in the range of 23-27 kmpl.

Features

Cars from Maruti are now emerging as one of the best in terms of features. Features like cruise control, navigation system, etc., are now finding place in cars that previously had even air conditioning as an option. The features includes automatic air conditioning, steering-mounted controls for audio and mobile, voice command etc.

Following Baleno, all the latest launches offer a lot of safety equipment as standard. Safety equipment list includes ABS, EBD, airbags, childlocks, Power Steering etc. Although entry-level cars do not offer these features due to standard, they are available as options with certain variants.

Roominess and Boot Space

Entry level hatchbacks are the least roomy of all. Nevertheless, they can carry four people in comfort along with decent size luggage and are suitable for short journeys. Cars like Ciaz, S-Cross and Vitara Brezza etc., tend to be much more spacious and comfortable. These are suitable for long journeys. In the middle, you would find Dzire and Baleno, etc., that offer good space.
Comes to storage space, executive sedans like Ciaz offer about 500 litre, smaller sedans like Dzire offer over 300 litre and smaller hatches like Alto, Swift, etc., offer over 200 litre.

Transmission Types

Maruti Suzuki cars in India are the most adaptable when it comes to transmission with options like CVT, AMT and AT. Cars like Alto, Dzire, etc., are equipped with AMT while premium sedans like Ciaz use a traditional AT. In the middle, there are cars like Baleno that use a CVT transmission System. All cars offer a two-wheel drive system, except Gypsy, in which you get driving modes and low range to choose from that let you drive over tricky sections easily.

Servicing Cost

Maruti Suzuki tends to have low cost of ownership due to homeground product. Cost of Service of an entry-level petrol hatchbacks or sedan would be somewhere around Rs. 5,000 for a period of 1 year. For larger sedans, SUVs, etc. it’s generally around Rs. 10k-12k. Diesel cars are 10-15% higher cost of servicing than their corresponding petrol counterparts.
